How it works
Youthful skin is plump and full of volume. This is attributed to hyaluronic acid which is found in all our tissues. As we age, we begin to lose the volume as our body’s natural aging process, with the aid of sun damage and environmental factors, decrease the amount of hyaluronic acid we have in our bodies. This results in lines, wrinkles and folds visible in aging skin.
Juvederm, Restylane and Teosyal are all fillers which are composed of hyaluronic acid. This is almost identical to the hyaluronic acid found in our bodies which allows us to inject them safely into the desire areas of concern. The fillers can help smooth wrinkles and folds, enhance lips and give them definition, and improve the signs of aging to bring back a more youthful, natural looking appearance.

What to expect
The hyaluronic acid is injected into the site of concern in small amounts, using a fine needle. We also use local anesthetic to make the treatment as painless as possible for you. Each treatment is customized and will be fully discussed prior to treatment. Results can be seen immediately! Depending on the area treated, there will be some temporary swelling and/or minimal redness. Ice can also be applied to decrease the swelling.
The effects of the hyaluronic acid can vary depending on the area treated but usually lasts from 6-12months.
